John 8:12-20
ILLUS. - Bear Creek Cave - Bear Creek. This is the kind of place they make horror movies about, but other than that it was awesome. Climbing through caves is called ''spelunking'' did you know that? We went all through this cave, we had to crawl under ledges, climb, it was dark wet, slippery. There were bats. It was creepy, particularly with a crowd of middle schoolers. Then they brought us into this big open room deep in the cave, and made us turn off our flashlights. It was total darkness. The kind of darkness that will make you go crazy. You could not see your hand in front of your face. It was the most darkness I had experienced.

If He's the light then apart from Him we... and the world is in darkness... can't see your hand in your face darkness. The kind that can make you crazy, the kind that can get you hurt, the kind that shapes your life and our culture in all the wrong ways.
As we explore Jesus as the Light of the World today we are going to learn more about what Jesus can do in our lives and longs to do in our lives just because of who He is.
