ILLUS.- Visiting Family -- When I'm there I act like I LIVE THERE. I'm FREE. Why is that? - I'm their son. I don't wonder if I'm welcome. - With family it's different. There is confidence, boldness. It's different than with strangers or worse enemies.

One of the most profound things about Christianity is how it describes Christians relationship with God. We are called children of God. - Isn't that amazing!

All of humanity is experiences spiritual slavery to something but we were made to be sons and daughters. - Just as children are made for a family, they flourish in a family, being outside a family is outside God's design... so humanity was created to be family. However, due to the Fall we are outside the family of God. We are not God's children but His enemies. We are in various forms of slavery. But we were made for so much more.

It is in Christ that God's design is restored. - We become children of God and brothers and sisters with other believers. - We are delivered from slavery and made FAMILY.

The most fundamental question in life is ''What is your relationship to God? Are you in His family?'' This morning we are going to explore what it looks like to be in the family of God.

Galatians 3:25-29- 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. 

V. 25-26- Paul was telling the Jewish Christians they were no longer under guardian. - In fact, ALL BELEIVERS are sons of God through faith.
