As people who have been transformed by the gospel we want to see others transformed by the gospel. Why? Because you can't experience God's love and not love others. Believers are set free from sin, shame, guilt, works righteousness... we are set free to LOVE OTHER, to SERVE OTHERS, to DO GOOD TO OTHERS. - Rather than using others, looking down on others, envying others, we love and serve, do good to others. - We will only do that if we are WALKING BY THE SPIRIT.

That's what we talked about last week, living a Spirit-empowered life. This week we are going to talk about what that practically looks like. - What does the FRUIT of the Spirit... those character traits... what does that look like lived out? - Christ-like character will always produce Christ-like activity/action.

One of the main things you'll notice about the fruit of the spirit is they impact how we RELATE to others. Spirit-filled people are Christ-Centered and others-oriented people.

Being Spirt-led people enables us to be free to love and do good to others, to live in genuine, helpful community with believers and to be a blessing to the world around us. Look with me. - READ- 5:25-6:10. By the power of the gospel, we are alive to God and empowered by God, for the sake of serving and doing good to others. - That's real freedom.

How We Are to Live - Spirit Led Galatians 5:25-26- If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Christians are to live by and keep in step with the Spirit. We are to live lives empowered by the Spirit, and in line with what the Spirit wants. We are to walk in His path. Christians are those that are ALIVE TO GOD and EMPOWERED BY GOD. Notice, the warning... we are not to become CONCEITED.
