Radically Saved (6 of 13)
Series: Unstoppable - The Book of Acts

Acts 9:1-31

There is no Christian in the history of the church that has had a greater impact than the Apostle Paul. Paul wrote,.. if God is for us, who can be against us? - He works all things together for the good of those who love God who are called according to His purpose... that's Paul. -- Love is patient, love is kind... that's Paul. - He's on the Mt.Rushmore of godly men.

Do you think you can relate to the Apostle Paul? Does he seem too angelic? Too perfect?

One thing he had in common with all of us, he was a great sinner in need of a great Savior.

Have you done sinful things? Are you embarrassed about choices from your past? Do you have things you have trouble living down? Would people you know back when be shocked to know you are a Christian today? Or if you are not a Christian, if you became one... would people be floored? You may have more in common with Paul than you think.

The story of Paul's conversion, provides for us a picture of a legit conversion and the ramifications of Jesus gloriously wrecking and building a new a life. -- We call it in Christianity be ''saved.'' -- Saved from what? Sin, Second death, God's wrath, our own selves.

We have to be careful when using or people don't know what we mean. The Bible speaks of it in 3 tenses... but salvation starts at conversion. It is a past event, present process, and future promise.

Today we are going to see when the Apostle Paul got ''saved.'' And from his conversion hopefully glean truth that will help us ... if you need to be ''saved'' or if you living out your salvation, and praying for the salvation of others.
