Colossians 2:6-15
Good morning. We are taking about two months to walk through the book of Colossians, and the reason I chose this book is that I've noticed something disturbing about Christians. You know what it is? Sometimes we don't look a whole lot like Jesus. Which is so ironic, because the name ''Christian'' literally means...what? ''Little Christ.'' So when people look at us, they're supposed to see a little reflection of Jesus. And that's not always the case. Actually we can become experts at separating our faith from our work and our family and our friends and everything else. Which is why we sometimes don't look that much like Jesus.
And Paul says, ''Can't you see how schizophrenic that is? The same Jesus who's worthy of your faith is worthy of your whole life. So continue to live in him.'' And then he continues in verse 7: rooted and built up in him... And for this message, I'm going to focus on that phrase ''built up.'' Think of your life like a building that's being constructed. I'm not an architect, but I know ...
