THE PROTOTYPE OF AN IDEAL MOTHER
PROVERBS 31: 10 - 31

JESUS CHRIST set for us the standard of respect that should be
given our mother. He did it in the most difficult circumstances
in His most crucial hour. This only stresses the importance of
respect for our moms. From the cross of Calvary He spoke only
seven times. One of those was to communicate to His disciple
John His desire for him to take care of Mary, His mother.
It should also be remembered that Mary, His mother, had modeled
for all the role of a Godly mother.
Not all persons are blessed with a Godly or even good mother.
This day for some evokes guilt. Some mothers are made to feel
guilty because of their failure in one of the most important
offices God entrusts to any individual.
Napoleon Bonaparte was discussing the needs of France and what
it would take to reform his country with Madam Campagna and
others. Several profound suggestions were made and then he said,
"What is needed is better mothers."
What a revolutionary force good mothers could be in America
today. Not only good, but Godly mothers.
Mothers and potential mothers, let me appeal to you to make your
ministry as a mom your priority. We hear a lot about beautiful
moms, sharp moms, involved moms, swinging moms, butlittle about
Godly mothers. Aspire to raise the level of appreciation for the
office in the eyes of everyone who sees you
fulfilling the responsibilities of a mother.
