IF SAVED CAN I LOSE MY SALVATION?

JESUS CHRIST said, "I give them eternal life, and they shall
never perish" (John 10: 28).
Yet, the question lingers, "Can I be saved and lost again?" The
subject is the eternal security of the believer. Plainly stated,
can a Christian lose his or her salvation?
All that is now to be said has to be based on the person in
question actually having been saved. It is not applicable to a
play actor regardless of how long and how involved such a person
may have been in a church.
My opinion is of no consequence. Therefore, let's turn to Christ
for an answer and hear Him say: "Most assuredly, I say to you,
[He doesn't want there to be any doubt] he who hears My word and
believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not
come into judgment, but has passed from death into life" (John
5: 24).
Note: "shall not come" and "is passed." Both are emphatic
expressions. "Is passed" is in the perfect tense, which means it
is an accomplished transit and a settled state.
The determination of your destiny is immediate. Eternal life
becomes the possession of the believer the moment of repentant
reception of Christ as Savior.
Now read Ephesians 1: 11 - 14.
Observe in verse 11, "we have obtained an inheritance" and in
verse 13, "you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise..."
Future glory has been bestowed upon us. We have already been
made heirs. Heaven is our inheritanc ...
