WHAT IS YOUR FORCE IN THE WORK FORCE?
PHILIPPIANS 2: 12 - 18

JESUS CHRIST wants you to be His representative in the working
world. You are His intended credential to validate His claim
regarding not just a renewed life but a reborn life. He wants
you to be the window through which persons see Him.
If your lifestyle clouds the issue then more attention is paid
to the window than to the Lord.
Once Christ saves us, He then thrusts us into the world like
salt in food. As He makes life more savory for us, so we are to
add a delightfully salty tang to all of life. That is, we are to
inspire our sphere of influence for Him.
Does your school need to be influenced for Him?
Does your social club need to be influenced for Him?
Does your workplace need to be influenced for Him?
Doubtless the answer in each instance is "yes." Well, that is
the reason you are there right now and not in Heaven. He has
left us here for that purpose.
If a recent survey made of 1,509 employees in California's
Silicon Valley is typical of your environment you have a
marvelous challenge as Christ's ambassador.
* 65% of the workers admitted coming in late and leaving early
in order to get out of additional work.
* 29% admitted using illicit drugs during and after work hours
to break the boredom of their jobs and lives.
* 34% admitted they often worked under the influence of
alcohol.
