Theme: ''The day I got more than I bargained for...''

There was a little boy in pre-k and he wanted to impress his parents like his older siblings. Everyday they would come home from school and tell their parents something impressive they had learned, so the little 4 year old wanted to receive the same accolades as his siblings.

He went to school one day and asked his teacher to teach him something impressive, something that would stun his parents once he told them. The teacher said ok little Johnny, 5+5=10, can you repeat that back to me? All day long the teachers told little Johnny that 5+5=10 and he repeated it all day.

Then he went home and watched his older siblings tell their parents what they had learned at school that day. Each time little Johnny watched as his parents smiled and hugged his brothers and sisters, then his mother asked him ''Little Johnny'' what did you learn today at school. ''Little Johnny'' proudly stood up firmly and said this, ''5+5=10.'' Johnny's mother and father were bursting with joy and enthusiasm as they looked at ''Little Johnny'' and hugged him.

As the young boy was about to exit the room, he stopped and walked back to his mother and said this, ''Mom what is 5?''

I am afraid that many of us do the same thing with the name of Jesus. We all know about his name, we even mention his name, but do we truly know the power and the purpose of his name?

''Jesus,'' say it with me, ''Jesus.''
