Introduction

1. I am not exaggerating when I tell you there is not a day in my life that goes by that I don't talk to someone who needs help. It may be an email. It may be a letter. It may be a phone call. It may be a face-to-face meeting, but there is hardly a day that goes by in my life that someone does not cross my path and let me know in some way they need help. The truth of the matter is there are times in our lives when we all need help. Someone has observed if you ever see a turtle on a fencepost he didn't get there by himself. He had help.

2. We are in a series we are calling, ''So Help Me God,'' because there are certain things that frankly we need help with that only God can help us with. Last week, I said that sometimes I need to get help for me and you need to get help for you, because I've never met a person yet that at some point in life did not deal with some kind of a self-esteem issue, or that in some area of life you felt like you didn't measure up, or didn't feel like you were good enough. It is why we find ourselves so often comparing ourselves with other people. I pointed out the only thing that matters about you is what God says about you, not how others see you or even how you see yourself.

3. I would encourage you if you are dealing with issues of inadequacies, or low self-esteem which can lead to all kinds of problems that you go back in and listen to last week's message. It is online at our website and you can listen to it at any time.

4. Today, I am going to deal with another problem where I believe we all need help and I can tell you I really need help, because it is my Achilles heel and my greatest weakness as a believer and as a Christian and that problem is worry. To worry is a real problem.
