WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IF YOU TRUST IN THE LORD

JESUS CHRIST wants to meet you right where you are in your
life's pilgrimage and give you supernatural guidance. He who has
experienced life wants to be your divine Guide.
Mountain climbers seeking the summits of the Himalayan Mountains
hire Sherpa guides to assist them. These are hardy local people
who live in the mountains and are acclimated to the altitude and
familiar with the terrain.
In addition to giving directions to the climbers, they also
carry their provisions. The climber is completely dependent upon
the guide.
Jesus Christ wants to be the spiritual equivalent of your Sherpa
guide. For Him to be, you must trust Him completely, follow Him
reliantly, and depend upon Him for all your needs.
Wouldn't it be absurd for a would-be mountain climber from
America to get in a quarrel, or worse still a fight, with his
Sherpa guide at an elevation of 20,000 feet with a storm moving
in? Yet, there are persons who spiritually are acting just as
irresponsibly in resenting and resisting the leadership of
Christ in our turbulent times.
I became excited in preparing this message thinking what joy and
spiritual victory can be gained if persons hearing it, who are
out of God's will, were to suddenly decide to conform to His
will. Personal stress would be alleviated, anxiety abated,
brokenrelationships restored, bitterness overcome, and fears
relieved if individuals would quit fighting their Guide and
rejoice to pray, "Thy will be done!"
