WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR THE KING

JESUS CHRIST appeared to His disciples after His resurrection
and they asked, "Lord will you at this time restore the
kingdom..." (Acts 1:6).
Their inquisitive spirit is being expressed at the present time.
The Middle East is the ancient cradle of curiosity regarding
fulfillment of prophecy. It is the stage on which earth's early
dramas were played out and it will be the setting for the events
associated with the final "curtain call," the coming of the
King, Jesus Christ.
Matters related to end times are called ESCHATOLOGY from the
Greek word "eschaton," meaning "last things."
Daily headlines spark interest by persons who formerly showed no
concern about end time prophecy. Ardent prophecy aficionados
clip and post articles daily which they believe fit exactly into
the pattern of the prophetic puzzle.
Every believer should live with an air of expectancy like that
expressed by Martin Luther: "I live as though Jesus Christ died
yesterday, arose today, and is coming again tomorrow." That
keeps one fresh and highly motivated.
Long after bedtime, parents were concerned when they noticed the
light come on in their child's bedroom and heard scurrying
around. With concern they went to see what was the cause. They
entered just as their child finished putting away his last
