Live Each Day like It Was Easter

John 20:24-29
We call Him doubting Thomas don't we? I've heard many preachers and other Christians speak pretty harshly about Thomas when it comes to his ''lack of faith'' concerning the resurrection. Remember, he was only asking for knowledge the other disciples had already received. They were not sure what to believe when the women came telling them about the empty tomb. But, when they saw with their own eyes Jesus standing before them that was an entirely different matter. They had seen Jesus alive and Thomas hadn't.
To his credit, when Thomas did see for himself that Christ had risen as He promised this knowledge revolutionized his testimony and changed his life. Never again would he look at life the same. Jesus was alive and that meant everything Jesus had taught and preached over the course of three years had to be true. You tell me something and then rise from the dead and see if I don't believe you!
There is no doubt that Easter makes an eternal difference in our futures but how about today? How much of a difference is the knowledge of the resurrection making in the way you're living each and every day?
24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said to him, ''We have seen the Lord.'' So he said to them, ''Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.''
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, ''Peace to you!''
27 Then He said to Thomas, ''Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.''
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, ''My Lord and my God!''
