Genesis 14
If you have your Bibles with you now, this evening, be finding your place at Genesis, chapter 14. That's where we have made our way so far in our series of studies through this beginning book of the Bible. We've entitled this simple series of studies Genesis, the Book of Beginnings: Creation, Fall, Flood, and Covenant. Tonight we come to Genesis, chapter 14, beginning in verse number one. So ''Ched king of Elam and Tidal king of nations, that they made war with Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela, that is Zoar.''
Hey, by the way, you can't do any better. Somebody said, ''well, how do know that those names are right?'' Maaaah. When in doubt, yell louder. Amen.
''All these joined together in the valley of Siddim, that is the Salt Sea. Twelve years they served Ched and in the 13th year they rebelled. In the 14th year Ched and the kings that were with him came and attacked the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzims in Ham, and Emin in Shaveh Kiriathaim, and the Horites in their mountain of Seir as far as Elparan which is by the wilderness.'' By the way, my Bible, by the end of the night is gonna have spit all over it.
