Introduction: It is said that a Record Executive at Decca once decided not to sign on a new band that had auditioned for them in Britain. That decision proved to be a very, very costly one, as that band would eventually become arguably the most successful pop/rock band in history! We know them as The Beatles.

The Founder Pastor of People's Church in Sri Lanka (my home church), Dr Colton Wickramaratne would often thunder this quote from the pulpit. He would say, 'Your decision determines your destiny'. Yes, our decisions have a huge impact on our lives!

Today, I would like to share a message taken from 2 Kings Chapter 5. The sermon is based around Naaman, a valiant Aramean warrior, seeking God's help for healing, and covers 4 wrong decisions he took. Naaman, a courageous man, was at the zenith of his military career at that time, but had a disease that was considered horrible in his day.. It was leprosy (verse 1). As a result of the wrong decisions he took in trying to find an answer, Naaman almost lost out from receiving an amazing miracle.

Let's be sure that we don't take the following wrong decisions that Naaman took.

1. He went to the wrong person (verse 4-6)

His servant, a captive girl from Israel, had recommended that Naaman visit the Prophet Elisha in Samaria to receive his healing (verse 2-3). Naaman however, following the advice of his King, sought healing not through God, but from the King of Israel. What a bad mistake!! The letter his own King wrote to the King of Israel said, ''With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.''
