Matthew 5:5
(PAGE 1414 "COME ALIVE BIBLE")
JESUS CHRIST in love has charted the way to happiness for you.
On the scenic slopes overlooking The Sea of Galilee He spoke
eight utterances that form milestones on the road to happiness.
Obedience to them brings happiness.
The pursuit of happiness for many people ends in a freakish
traffic jam. Motors keep accelerating, but nobody can move.
This has caused many to forget their pursuit of happiness and
wrap themselves in a cocoon of cynicism.
A Princeton, N.J. Psychologist, Dr. Herbert M. Greenberg, has
done a revealing study of 250,000 employees from 4,000 firms.
He found that 80% were unhappy. Imagine 4 out of 5 persons are
unhappy. Christ has addressed this need. We need to return
from our drift and re-evaluate His teaching if we desire the
promise.

in character. Gallups' Poll reveals a renewal in religious
interest in America because: (1) The general turning inward to
seek refuge from everyday pressures, (2) A search for
non-material values in light of the fading American dream.
Reality reveals that not everyone is going to have an abundance
of physical goods. Therefore, we must either find a different
basis for happiness or have a lot of unhappy people.
Attitude is the arena in which the battle for happiness is won
or lost.
