WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE TO CHRIST'S BIRTH?

JESUS CHRIST birth was preceded by generations of prophecy
foretelling it. Old Testament prophecy related to the coming of
Messiah was His biography written in advance.
Against this backdrop of revelation He was born out of the tribe
of Judah as the Book of Genesis foretold. (Gen. 49:10).
As Isaiah said centuries earlier He was a descendant of David
(Isa. 9:7).
Micah (5:2) identified the place of His birth to be Bethlehem.
With definitive insight Daniel (9:25) even told the time of His
birth hundreds of years in advance.
I. GOD'S RATIONAL
All of this was according to the divine heavenly time table. It
was in fulfillment of the will of God. It was part of a plan
devised by the Trinity before the dawn of the first day of
creation.
Ephesians 1: 3 - 14 explains this marvelous plan.
Verse 4 speaks of a heavenly strategy session involving the
Trinity "before the foundation of the world..."
In that tactical session God the Father, God the Son, and God
the Holy Spirit devised a plan to reestablish a relationship
with human beings if it were broken by mankind choosing to sin.
Verse 5 says He "predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will."
PREDESTINATION is a greatly misunderstood word causing
confusion. It basically means a predetermined destiny. It
translates the Greek word PROORIZO which was a word used in
surveying. It spoke of surveying a boundary such as the border
