John 12: 31
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.''
We know here in this passage that Jesus was talking about His crucifixion. Calvary was the place of the sacrifice and the cross was the means by which Jesus would give His life, not unwillingly, but willingly, and with the shedding of innocent precious blood, for He was without sin and the Only One who didn't deserve to die, you and I have been forgiven, cleansed, and set free. He has broken the shackles and the chains. He bore our sorrow and our shame. We have been redeemed, ransomed, and saved. He Who is the Light of the World has made us the light of the world. We show the world the transforming power of the Savior's love. The cross is the gateway to the new life. People see Jesus when they see what He has done in us and we tell others of it and that GOOD NEWS draws people to this same Jesus that saved us. For God so loved the world - He loves them as much as He loves us - that He gave His Only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The cross is not only the gateway to the new life you and I now have, it is the place where earth meets heaven and we are drawn in to worship the Lamb. We worship Him because of the cross. He made the way for us to enter into the heavenly realms in worship. We now have access through His blood to enter beyond the veil and into heaven itself.
When each of us, who have access into the presence of God because of Jesus, gather together, there is a corporate anointing where God comes by the power of the Holy Spirit and brings the manifest presence of God to our gathering. Jesus said, ''if I be lifted up, I will draw all people to Myself.'' This is the place where we ALL - no matter where we may be in our relationship ...
