Donald Cantrell
1 Peter 1: 21 - 25
1Pe 2:21 KJV - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe 2:22 KJV - Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Pe 2:23 KJV - Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
1Pe 2:24 KJV - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1Pe 2:25 KJV - For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
I - The Example of Suffering (21)
II - The Eviction of Sin (22)
III - The Embracer of Sonship (23)
IV - The Essence of Substitution (24)
V - The Extension of Salvation (25)
This sermon contains a fully alliterated outline, with sub-points.
Theme: ''Lessons we learn from Christ and his death on the cross''
In this sermon series, I will be preaching on various characters that are involved in the Easter story. Before each of my sermons, I am going to have someone dress up as the character and stand before the church and read a dialogue that describes their life and their part in the Easter story.
I will write the dialogue for each character and have it as the introduction for each of the sermons. If you want to see how this is done, you can watch us on ''FaceBook Live.'' I will be starting this series sometime in the first Sunday of March and will preach all of the sermons in our Sunday Morning Services.
If you have any questions, please contact me or send me a message on FB.
