Better Together Update
I need to talk to our church members for a minutes, a family chat. As we settle in our seats, I want to share some important and exciting details regarding Better Together. As most of you know, Better Together is a spiritual growth campaign designed to stretch us and provide financially for our church to be in two locations. A little more than a year ago, we purchased the future sight for Cross Church along 287, currently meeting at Schluter Elementary for $3 million. As of last Sunday, we owed a little more than $1.6 million. But the exciting news is this: our church under spent what you gave last year by a considerable amount. And this money has been used to pay down our loan balance, giving us a new total of just over $1.4 million. 18 months in our three year campaign and we are just passed over the halfway mark to our total goal! This is exciting! I want you to thank you, church family, for your generosity in 2014 and I want to thank our ministry staff. Our ministry staff effectively did their ministry with tremendous efficiency last year. As many of you know, the monies you give to Better Together go not only to fund the future site for Cross Church, but they bless ministries around the globe. In the course of the 3 years of Better Together, it's our aim to give away $600,000 toward mission endeavors around the globe.
Reminder: Our goal is to completely pay off the land by our church's 60th anniversary on May 15, 2016. We want to celebrate God's faithfulness by burning the note in a little more than a year. This is an exciting journey we're on together - don't miss being a part of this. In order to meet this target, we've set our one day Feb 22 goal for $327,893. This will be the 5th one day offering in a series of 8 stretched over the three years.
