Series: The Life of Joseph

Genesis 40-41
CONTEXT: The last time we were together Joseph met a TEMPTER. Potiphar's wife developed strong feelings for Joseph and attempted to seduce him. Ultimately, she forcefully took hold of his coat and demanded that he sleep with her. Joseph did the right thing, he left his coat and ran.
Now incidentally, remember that two significant turns in Joseph's story happened when he lost his coat. The first being the coat of many colors, the second being here....may be a good idea not to just not wear a coat?
The next significant person in Joseph's story is the DOOR OPENER.
You see, Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph of attempted rape... now the fact that Potiphar throws Joseph in prison rather than executing him may indicate that Potiphar didn't buy it his wife's accusation. But Potiphar knew what every married man knows - happy wife, happy life.

They would be required to taste test Pharaoh's wine and Pharaoh's food revealing whether or not anyone had made an attempt on his life.
Remember that Nehemiah held the same position and when he came before the King downcast the King knew right away that something was amiss.
