A Matter of Life and Life (3 of 4)
Series: Elephant in the Room
James Merritt
Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13-16
Introduction
1. In this day of extreme political partisanship, uneasy racial tension, increasing lack of civility and public discourse there are few things we can find that everybody can agree on. There is one thing that I believe no one objects to and that is no one would be here today without their mother. I realize biologically it takes a male and a female in some way to conceive a child, but after that it is all up to the mom. She is the delivery system for everyone to come into this world.

The elephant in the room for them is too big. The topic that is too hot to touch is the topic of abortion.
4. I would like to ask every woman listening to me right now to do me one favor. Before you turn me off and tune me out either because of my gender, my Christian faith, or my own personal beliefs, I ask you just to listen for the next few minutes.
5. This is not going to be your typical message on abortion. I am not going to get up and bash abortion, talk about the evils of abortion, or to try to put any of you who may have had an ab ...
