Our corporate priority (3 of 4)
Series: The Dearest Place on Earth

Hebrew 10:24-25
Turn your bibles to Heb 10:24-25
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
PRAY (pop collar while praying)
I'm very excited as we continue our series the dearest place on earth, which speaks of the church, and our benefits and responsibilities as members of the body of Christ- and in particular- this local manifestation of Christ's body- Wellsboro Bible Church. Last week we spoke of the statement of faith and This morning we'll talk about the covenant- which finds it's basis in Hebrews 10.
(Why are you looking at me weird?) Oh my collar? Thank you
You know two weeks ago the same thing happened during first service and Nobody said anything? I had no idea. I looked in the mirror between services and thought Holy Cow. I just preached with a popped collar! I looked like a goof the whole time. TJ said he was too embarrassed to come up and help me. So that's ok it's forgivable.
But this week I did it intentionally. Because I want to prove to that if you care about someone- you don't just let them go on in obliviousness- you point out these kinds of things to them.
And it can be a little embarrassing/ uncomfortable to do that. someone might walk out o the bathroom with toilet paper on their shoe or they have food on their teeth, or even worse they might have unintentionally offensive breath. ?
The funny thing is it's completely obvious to everyone else but you!
We are scared to point it out or it seems awkward. It can be uncomfortable... but ultimately it actually benefits the other person.
The late Jim Morrison, lead singer of the doors said:
''That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is.''
I understand some of the spirit of that stat ...
