There is Hope

Such were the forlorn words of Mahatma Ghandi, shortly before he was assassinated. Someone whom you would think was so satisfied in his false religion even admitted to himself that he was hopeless in the face of death

Death is the great equalizer. Whether you have all the money in the world or you barely have two dimes to rub together, no matter how much effort you put into your health and longevity, we will all eventually die. Death waits for no one.

The startling statistic is that 1 out of every 1 persons die. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when. For every person in this room, there is a time and a date that has been predetermined for our deaths and we are helpless to stop it.

It happens to people in all stages of life. You can't say I'm not ready- because death doesn't take no for an answer.

As you look back over the years, undoubtedly all of you remember people who seemed to die very young. I can list numerous people even with whom I grew up, who have now been ushered into eternity.

Death is one of the things people fear the most. The Greek Philosopher, Aristotle, said '' ''Death is a dreadful thing, for it is the end!'''' 2000 years later Rouseau adds ''No man dares to face death without fear.''

so my question is Do you fear death?

if you are a visitor today, I promise we're not usually so morose! But if you'll allow me to hold your attention for a moment, I'll get to the point I'm trying to make.

Christians do not need to fear death because of the reality of Christ's resurrection-because through the power resurrection, we too can live again.
