Genesis 9
If you have your Bibles with you now this evening, if you will, be finding your place once again at Genesis chapter nine. And tonight, if you're our guest, we're picking back up in a series of studies that we began several, several months ago now, through this first book of the Bible that we've entitled The Book of Beginnings. Tonight as we come to Genesis, chapter nine, we find Noah and his sons and his wives standing for the first time in 40 days and 40 nights on dry land in a cleansed creation.

I was telling Brother Josh a minute ago that there's nothing ... When you look at Genesis, chapter nine, there is nothing there that you would say ''man, that is a sermonic goldmine! I mean, that is a chapter you want to preach when you're headed off to revival.'' And yet, this is a fundamentally important chapter in your Bible. As a matter of fact, if you don't grasp what's going on here in Genesis, chapter nine, if you don't understand how all the elements are moving together and working together, you're going to begin to go throughout the rest of the Bible, and some of the things that you ought to understand, you're not going to understand. And some of the things that you read about are not going to make sense because they all go back to Genesis, chapter nine and what took place there in those first early days of life after the flood.
Let's read those verses together tonight, and we'll try to get as far as we possibly can this evening. I had hoped tonight; I will say this, I had hoped this afternoon as I was taking my nap, I had hopes that this would be, this would be one of those sermons that all four points I could get done in one Sunday night. I was mistaken.
But we're going to have a great time together this evening. L ...
