The Christmas season is a wonderful time. This is a time and a season we look forward to all year. Christmas is so many things to us. It's a time to share some of the best food in the world with family and friends. Of course there's shopping, parties to attend, and presents to wrap. A lot of busyness associated with Christmas!

If we're not careful we can work and worry ourselves to death during Christmas and miss why we celebrate it in the first place. Believers have to be able to separate the secular from the spiritual and remember what Christmas is all about. It's a time for celebrating the birth of our Savior.

Every child is special and every baby is precious but there was something different about Jesus' birth. His birth was attended by four visions. The wise men received a vision of joy, Joseph received a vision of obedience, Mary received a vision of salvation, and the shepherds received a vision of discovery. Everyone had their part to play in the Christmas story.

This morning, let's take a look at Mary's vision of salvation. This is a vision that she would ponder over for the rest of her life.

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, ''Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!''
29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
30 Then the angel said to her, ''Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ...
