On April 23, 2018 a golden easel was placed in front of a the gate of Buckingham Palace announcing the birth of baby number three for Prince William and Duchess Kate. The healthy baby was born at St. Mary's Hospital and the royal family now was ready to welcome a brand new baby boy into the family. The ceremonial announcement would remain in place for 24 hours and then be taken to ''The Privy Council Office'' to be recorded for official records.

The notice was signed by four members of the hospital staff and read as follows:

''Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 11:01 a.m. today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.''

In addition, a Union Jack flag was raised above Buckingham Palace to mark the prince's arrival. The father Prince William and the mother Duchess Kate were excited to see their 8 pound and 7 ounces baby boy.

The cost of maintaining the Royal Family is astronomical for the United Kingdom, but in years of weddings, childbirths, and other exciting things, it seems that the family brings in just as much revenue through tourism.?
