Weeks 27-39 (3 of 4)
Series: 52 Weeks of Sermons
Donald Cantrell
Is it okay to use another man's sermons? This question has been asked so many times that there should be a plaque of the question hanging in every ''homiletical class, every seminary, and in every preachers study.''
The simple answer to this question is yes, but the complex answer is much broader and exhausting. If you merely take another man's sermon and refuse to make it your own, then you are lazy and you may need to discern whether God called you to preach or merely stand up and read another's sermons from the podium.
The thirteen weeks of sermon outlines in this series are for helping to plant ''seeds'' into the heart of the man of God as he wrestles with the ''Lord'' for a sermon. If you have been preaching for any amount of time, you know what it means ''to wrestle with God for a sermon.''
The idea is to take these simple three or four point outlines, go to the text, read it, meditate upon it, allow the Holy Spirit to sift the seeds through your personality and hopefully watch them bloom into a full sermon.
This series contains thirteen weeks of sermon outlines. Each week has a Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night outline. These sermon outlines will help you as you strive to design your weekly sermons.
''Authenticity is magnetic, it will draw people. You need to be you and allow God to use you as you are!!!
- Donald Cantrell
