You Will Have Power (11 of 12)
Series: Unshakable Hope
Tony Thomas
Acts 1:8; 2:1-42
In the movie, Evan Almighty, Bomshel sings about a simple math equation:
One grain of sand can turn the tide,
One simple spark can light the night,
One simple dream, one simple word,

The package I'm holding is a meal that feeds a family of six. It was put together by our Jr. High kids in cooperation with an organization called Kids Against Hunger. Their mission is to reduce the number of hungry children in the United States - and sixty other countries around the world.
Kids Against Hunger started with an idea by Richard Proudfit. This 13.8 oz package is filled with rice, dried vegetables, nineteen different vitamins - and no cholesterol. All you do is add it with boiling water. In 35 minutes, our kids put together 2,500 packages!

3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4 Everyone was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.
Pentecost is one of seven feasts that Israel celebrated annually. Initially, it appears in the Law as the Harvest Festival. One of the ways it was celebrated was the baking of two loaves of bread.
