ARE YOU A TALKER OR A WALKER
James 1: 22 - 25

JESUS CHRIST was a captivating speaker. He painted verbal vistas
of the love of God; and with a silver tongue he proclaimed the
fury of sin. He lashed at men with His dialect and He soothed
them with words of comfort. He praised good men and scourged
evil men.
He held people spellbound in the amphitheater of His Father's
hills.
Men stood judged by His words. Enthralled, encouraged, and
enlightened by them.
His earthly brother James said to Christ's would-be disciples -
BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD...
Ours is a society that likes to do or have things done the
simple, easy quick way and if possible by someone else.
One advertiser realizing this has discretely taken advantage of
the characteristics and admonishes potential customers to LET
YOUR FINGERS DO THE WALKING...
In essence the ad advocates that you take the easy, quick,
simple way and really let somebody else do the job for you. In
effect be a hearer but not a doer.
In our Christian experience we so often want to take the easy,
quick, simple way.
There is a need so we say, "I'll pray for you..."
There is a need to witness so we put on the latest bumper
sticker but fail to evangelize.
There is a need to worship so we go through the ceremony of a
service but never really contemplate God.
There is a need to demonstrate faith so we protect and preserve
"In God We Trust" on our currency and yet fret and worry over
trivia.
Unresponsive and irresponsible conduct by Christians has
resulted in:
