COUNTDOWN FOR HIS COMING
II THESSALONIANS 2: 5 - 10

JESUS CHRIST is coming again. Just as Israel waited during the
long years for His first coming and grew weary, others lost
hope, and despair engulfed others, so today many have lost hope
while others have lost interest. However, just as emphatically
as He came there first time, a fact well established in history,
so He will come again in accordance with the manner well
established in prophecy.
"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour
wherein the Son of Man cometh" (Matt. 26:13).
In jest, it has been suggested that the day of the week in which
He is coming is known. You now how you feel on Mondays? Well,
the Scripture says He will come on such a day "as no man
thinketh." That has got to be a Monday.
In Matthew 24, Jesus gave us some signs of the latter times.
These are events to transpire immediately before His coming
(Matt. 24).
Vs. 4 "Be not deceived..." - rise of the occult.
Vs. 5 Counterfeit Christs
Vs. 6 Wars and rumors of wars. Over 155 since 1900. 21
presently.
Vs. 7 Famine - 10,000 starve everyday.
Pestilence (disease)
Earthquakes - 1 million have died in earthquakes this
century.
Vs. 9,10 Martyrdom - In the last 10 years 500,000 have been
martyred in Africa. 50,000,000 in China.
Vs. 11 False prophets
Vs. 12Loss of love - nearly 750,000 divorces. 3,600 abortions a
day. That is 1.3 million each year.
