Philippians 3:10
Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
In our life in Christ, our goal is to fulfill the calling of God upon our lives. I shared with you a couple Sundays ago, that each and everyone of you are CALLED. You may not feel it, you may think you are inadequate, or not qualified, or not worthy, but none of these things are true. God has CALLED YOU to be saved and to come into all that He has for you here on earth. You have been called by God to fulfill His purposes in the earth. It is like the soccer game. YOU ARE ON THE FIELD and you have a job to do. We are all on the field together and WE have a job to do. There are those that are watching you from the stadium of heaven cheering you on.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. (NLT)
