LOVE ISN'T AFRAID OF GIVING TOO MUCH
LUKE 6: 38

JESUS CHRIST used 38 parables to teach great truths, 12 of them
were on the subject of money. When He spoke of the meticulous
attention given to tithing by the Pharisees, He said, "These
ought ye to have done" (Matt. 23:23). He also said, Luke 6:38.
I.GIVING IS A TESTIMONY
It was through the tithe Abraham gave testimony of God's
ownership. A Christian who has not surrendered the tithe to God
has not established God's ownership.
If the tithe is mere legalism, why did Abraham tithe. Abraham
had no law (Genesis 14:20).
Should we tithe GROSS or NET? Which do you want Him to bless?
God promises if we give out of a loving heart He will return it
multiplied (Romans 11:35, Luke 6:38).
My money is a symbol of me. In giving the prescribed portion we
give testimony of having given self.
Give as soon as you begin to get. By establishing the pattern,
you avoid selfishness.
II.GIVING IS AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE
In ALL things a Christian should predetermine what God defines
as His cause of action and follow it.
If we share as a course of obedience, we do so because God's
Word says we are to help others and fund the advancement of His
kingdom. ATTITUDE is important (2 new brooms). II Cor. 9:7.
