Drew Houston, the founder of Dropbox, gave the 2013 commencement speech at MIT. He told the graduates, ''When I think about it, the happiest and most successful people I know don't just love what they do, they're obsessed with solving an important problem, something that matters to them. They remind me of a dog chasing a tennis ball: Their eyes go a little crazy, the leash snaps and they go bounding off, plowing through whatever gets in the way ... He is onto something when it comes to life and when it comes to ministry. Whatever captures your heart and imagination will be what drives you in life. Whatever you fall in love with will be what makes you get of bed in the morning. We all have things we are passionate about. As believers, as a faith family, there are certain beliefs that we should be passionate about, beliefs that motivate us, provide direction and are foundational for life and ministry.

As a church we have said that our core values are...
- The Sovereignty of God
- The Authority of God's Word
- The Value of Each Individual
- Salvation through Christ alone

These are biblical and theologically true statements that should drive all that we do. These core values are the headwaters from which our ministry should flow, including our mission, vision and the strategies we use to accomplish them.

So, what should a people, a faith family, who believes in the sovereignty of God, the authority of God's Word, the value of each individual and salvation through Christ alone be doing?
