There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity
under heaven: A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war
and a time for peace.

As our country stands right on the precipice of entering a new
war we must ask this important question, when is it right to go
to war? This last week we have heard the translation from the
leader of the controlling party in Haiti say, Lt. General Raoul
Cedras, "I would rather die and if I die in the next few hours
or next few days, that would be better than leaving my country
in dishonor and leaving my children with a dishonorable name."
We have also heard President Clinton's message, "The message of
the United States to the Haitian Dictators is clear. Your time
is up! Leave now or we will force you from power."

The feelings of Americans today are very varied. However, my
intent is not to be giving a political commentary on our part in
Haiti. I am not here to condone nor to support America's
involvement in Haiti. I am not here to criticize nor condemn a
President, an administration, or to undermine the safety and
welfare of our troops which are in harms way at this very
moment. However, it is my desire to be able to answer this
critical question that needs a crucial answer, when is it right
to go to war?

It is a real question that all of us as believers must ask
ourselves and face the answer that we prepare even before there
is an event that we need to make such a decision. You see, the
