Who r U? (2 of 2)
Series: Death to Life Series
Jeff Ecklund
Ephesians 2:1-2
Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
'Cause I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
We started a series on Death to Life on Easter morning...I want to continue on that theme, that message this morning...
How do you live after death?
Who are you NOW?
I think it is one of the most important things to grasp as a new believer..I know many ''old'' believers that struggle with who they are now...
We all know who we were before...
In fact, the devil is very good at reminding us of who we were...and trying to deceive us into thinking not much has changed...the devil wants you to think you are just a better dressed ''old self'' walking around...that it's just a bit of lipstick and makeup on the old man...
But in reality...both the natural and the spiritual...everything has changed...
If you live in the past, are anchored in the past, are reminded of the past...it is difficult to see yourself as a new creation.... much less move forward...
Jesus is about calling people from death to life...and there are stark differences when that occurs!
Who R U? When you come to life in Christ?
Pray....
Ephesians 2:1-2 (NASB95)?1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,?2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
Colossians 2:13-14 (NASB95)?13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,?14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
