THE KEYS TO STRESS-FREE LIVING
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
How many of you would say that, "My life is filled with stress!"
Well, that's about all of us. Some of us just need to realize,
all of us need to realize, that stress is everywhere. The issue
is not getting stress out of your life, but it is learning how
to manage stress.
I almost wanted to call this sermon, "How to Practice Safe
Stress" because you know you're going to have it. But that is
something that you need to know, and you just simply need to
know how to protect yourself. That's the bottom line. All of
us are going to have stress, but how in the world are we going
to be able to deal with it appropriately in our life?
The passage that I have read to you is a wonderful springboard
place to begin concerning how to unlock the door to experiencing
stress-free living. If there is one thing that is true, it is
simply this: it seems like that stress and the stress on the
family and the stress on marriages and the stress on students
for performance is getting harder and higher and deeper and
thicker and there is a hugh weight upon our culture which they
have induced upon themselves. And that's why we need to come to
this passage today to learn how to deal with our life as
believers in a way such that when people see our life under
pressure, that they will see something different in our life
because of the way that we handle our respons ...
