Matthew 5:6 (ESV) 6 ''Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
We were built and designed by God to be filled, to be satisfied...
Throughout the bible we see that God desires us to be satisfied, gives us the instructions and is willing to empower us by the Holy Spirit to live a life that is marked by joy, peace, love, patience, goodness, etc.
There is an unrelenting search that we are on to find that in our lives.
People are constantly looking for the ''satisfactor''
We look for it in our vocations, our relationships, our skills, in material possessions...And hope that by achievement we can fill that place...Not that in moderation and balance any of these are bad...
The Rolling Stones penned a song entitled ''I can't get no...satisfaction''...
We are created for righteousness...It alone will ultimately fill and satisfy.
There is something ( I believe) that is created in man to respond to the right things...
People are moved when they see sacrifice, when they see rescue...When they see someone returning stuff, not stealing stuff, not taking advantage of people. People want to be around people who speak the best of others, etc.
RIGHTEOUSNESS The establishment of a right relationship-primarily between God and people, secondarily between people themselves. Righteousness is the fulfillment of just expectations in any relationship, whether with God or other people. It is applicable at all levels of society and is relevant in every area of life. Therefore, righteousness denotes the fulfilled expectations in relationships between man and wife, parents and children, fellow citizens, employer and employee, merchant and customers, ruler and citizens, and God and people.
