Joshua 1:7-8

And he later said, ''I ate the donuts because there were two places right up front on only my 8th trip around the block.''
Brief recap:
Joshua is facing the most important season in his life...the future!
God had spoken clearly to him regarding:
- Not letting the past hinder the future
- There were plans already for Joshua and the people in place
- It was not just about Joshua
- To cross over with courage, faith and not fear
And now God speaks again to Joshua...

For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua was moving God's people, and his own family forward into a culture that was not godly...Pagan worship, evil and wicked...dark and dangerous and it is much like today...
It takes courage to live, to operate and to be a Godly person in our culture!
We find in verses 10-16 that there is preparation, gathering, even a march of the armed men through the camp to instill courage in the people...
Joshua 1:10-11 (ESV)?10 And Joshua commanded the officers of the people,?11 ''Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, 'Prepare your provisions, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you ...
