Part II
Philippians 3:1-11
Have you ever wanted to ask a preacher, "Why do you preach?
What do you want to accomplish when you preach." Well, if you
were going to ask me that and I guess you are now, why do I
preach? Let me tell you why I preach, one word, "Conversion."
It is my desire to see people who have never met Christ be
converted, to be changed into exactly what God wants them to be.
Second of all, the reason I preach, is conversion, because
those who have met Christ, because they have come out of the
world, need to have their mind changed so that the way we look
at ourselves and the way that we look at everybody else, the way
that we look at our lives is changed.
So tonight I want to take you to God's Word, Philippians,
Chapter 3, please bring up the house lights and let's look at
this important passage about how to build confidence God's way.
For sometimes we miss out on what that's all about and we have a
focus that is of the world and often our organizations are
aligned according to the principles of the world and sometimes
we even do spiritual ministry with the focus of the world rather
than looking at how God wants us to organize things and how God
wants us to accomplish ministry.
Last week I shared with you out of Philippians 3:1-11, the very
thing that we need to do in order to build confidence and that
is:
I. REJOICE WITH YOUR VOICE
And we talked about that. The importance of praise and then the
second thing that I shared with you is that:
II. RESIST WITH YOUR MIND
There were four areas that we need to resist and I shared with
you there ...
