Philippians 2:12-13
I really want you to learn what it means to worship. I really
do. And I pray more than anything else in the world that
Wednesday night would be an avenue for that. I want to remind
you, though fellowship is important, walking with God is much
more important. Sometimes when we come to church, our hearts
are not tuned in yet and I pray that you would allow the praise
music that we sing every week to be a channel for your heart of
hearts to focus in on worshipping the King of Kings. That's
what that music is for.

These people who stand here are not performers, they are praise
leaders and I pray that as students and as adults that we would
really learn how to enter into God's presence. For your
greatest joy and your greatest fulfillment will come right out
of that worship experience with God.

If you will, take your Bibles and turn to Philippians Chapter 2,
as you are turning. Did you hear about the scorpion who was
trying to get across the river? He knew he couldn't swim and
knew that if he tried he would drown. All of a sudden, he
looked over to his left and there was a bullfrog who was getting
ready to jump in and get to the other side and so he looked at
the bullfrog and said, "Hey bull, how about a ride?" The
bullfrog croaked at him and said, "What are you talking about?"
He said, "It's real simple, I can't swim but I need to get to
the other side, how about if you just put me on your back and
let me get across and then both of us can get over. It won't be
any big deal for you and both of us can get across." The
