Philippians 2:14-18
You know it's people and our relationships with people and what
they do to us that often gets us into kind of a griping mode.
Have you ever noticed that? The song that Justin sang tonight
is quite appropriate because if we are going to learn exactly
how to get a handle on our attitude it will come in the scenario
of relationships where people hurt you and often you hurt
people. But nothing like griping will more quickly rob you of
joy in your life and stalemate you in a forward progression in
the Christian life.

If you will, take your Bibles and turn quickly to Philippians,
Chapter 2 and then I'll direct your attention to the all time
griping body of the world, you're going to love this tonight
because we're going to finish up so you won't have any gripes
about this not being through. I want to share with you tonight
about how to get a grip on your gripes, how to do some gripe
control. The scripture says in Philippians 2:14 right there in
front of you, it says:
"Do everything without complaining or arguing,"
Let's stop there. The scripture says do everything, not a
couple of things but everything without arguing or complaining,
in other words, don't do anything with a gripe mode. I mean,
students, when your parents tell you to do something, don't
gripe about it. And as parents, if there is a responsibility
that you have as a parent, don't gripe about it. As an
employee, if there is something that you need to do, don't gripe
about it, maybe there is a ministry objective for you to
accomplish that God has for you even within the body of Christ.
