Colossians 4:2-6
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison- 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

If you were with us last week we started a sermon series called Table Talk, and I didn't even tell you what Table Talk meant, or even why we were calling the series Table Talk. All we talked about last week is who you are now in Christ. And what we believe is that if you are in Christ the most amazing thing has happened to you. You have gone from being separated from God in sin to not only being reconciled to God, but to being given a title, you have been called an Ambassador of the Kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 5, the passage we looked at last week uses this word Ambassadors, and the rest of the New Testament, we are Ambassadors for Christ. And what is an Ambassador? An Ambassador is a citizen of one country, and he's not just a citizen of that country, he's one of the best citizens of that country, he is cherished in that country, and from that country he receives all of his identity and wealth and security, so an ambassador is a citizen of one country that is sent to another country. He lives there, he becomes a part of the culture there. But because all of his identity and security and wealth and protection is locked up in his home country he can go to that country and really serve the people there, he can really work for their good and for the good of his home country. And what is an ambassador trying to do, well he is trying to represent his own country well, he is trying to get the people in ...
