Colossians 4:2-6
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison- 4 that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
This is God's Word
We have been thinking about this passage now for four weeks and I think that is a good practice to really meditate on just a few verses in this case five for a period an extended period of time. And it's made us think about a few things. In terms of review let me just give you three kind of summary points of the series.
1. Christians have both inward facing relationships and outward facing relationships. Inward facing relationships are those we have with other believers, and outward facing relationships are those we have with unbelievers. And just as a point of clarity while the gathering of the church is primarily an inward facing meeting for Christians we certainly welcome anyone who is not a believer and in fact I am really glad that you are here. A church gathering like this is a great place to explore Christianity and to better understand what it is that Christians believe and to see if our faith and love for one another is actually genuine, so if you are not a believer, welcome I am glad you are here... But for those of you who are Christians remember that we have inward facing relationships and outward facing relationships and we want to be intentional with both.
2. We have said that according to scripture you are ambassadors, you are priests, you are the temple. If you are in Christ, if you have been reconciled to God then you have been given the ministry of reconciliation you are an am ...
