Halftime Faithfulness (5 of 6)
Series: Halftime

John 21
INTRODUCTION: Camille LeNoir - was an all-star player for four years for the University of Southern California. In 2009, she was a 2nd round draft pick by the WNBA's Washington Mystics - professional basketball team. On March 20th, 2011, Camille was interviewed by Christopher Hudson. In that thirteen-minute interview she talked about her faith and how the Lord had delivered her from the homosexual lifestyle. The interview was posted to YouTube and has been viewed by over 70,000 people. (Show 60-second excerpt) The entire interview is pretty impressive. On April 24, 2016, she was offered the job of assistant women's basketball coach at New Mexico State University, which she accepted. Two days later the offer was retracted because the administration at NMSU watched the online interview and belatedly discovered that not only was she no longer a homosexual, she was also a faithful Christian. She is now suing the university for sexual orientation discrimination.
My sermon series is entitled ''Halftime'' and I've been letting the coaches help me kick off the introduction each Sunday. Even though she was only a coach for two days, Camille still counts. And the reason I chose Camille for today is because today Coach Jesus talks to ''Team Jesus'' about FAITHFULNESS.

Then Jesus told him, ''Follow me.''
Jesus didn't pull any punches when talking about Peter's future, did he? I don't think so. He's been telling Peter to feed his sheep and then he culminates his charge to Peter with the revelation that Peter will ...
