A FAITH THAT DOES
Part I
James 2:14
If you will, take your Bibles and turn to James, Chapter 2. As
you're turning to James, watch me, follow me, don't go away!
Danny, I just want to tell you, I love you, I thank the Lord for
you, of all the Single's Ministers we've ever had, you're one of
them! I just want you to know, I love you, I really love you!
Sherry, I just want to tell you, I love you. You know when you
played Jesus' Mother up on the stage, I can't tell you how that
evoked emotion from me and I just want to tell you God used you
to encourage me to focus on the Lord, I just want to tell you I
appreciate your friendship all these years. Just wanted you to
know that! You too, Cindy! Bob, I just want to tell you I love
you, I really do; Gene, I didn't mean to pass by you because I
love you too but Bob, I just want to tell you I remember when we
walked on the streets of Jerusalem together and I'll never
forget baptizing you in the Jordan River when it was so cold,
you came up blue. When I think about you, I think about your
smile, and I think about your love for the Lord. I just want to
tell you that I love you, Buddy. Ginger, I just want to tell
you, I love you.
You know, there's a different kind of love. Honestly, I think
maybe you caught the difference. It's one thing to tell someone
that you love them and care about them, it's another thing to do
something that reveals that and that's exactly where we are
tonight in James. Tonight we are entering a new section in
James' letter to believers. It's about faith, a faith that
lives. In fact there are three (3) sections of this faith that
lives.
