DEVELOPING A LOVE THAT LASTS
I Corinthians 13:7
"Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres, love never fails."
The Phillips Translation says:
"Love knows no limits to its' endurance, no end to its' trust,
no fading of its' hope, it can outlast anything."
Underline those words, always, "always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres, love never fails." Wow, I mean

way and we figure out ways to justify why we shouldn't feel the
way we were going to feel the rest of our life.
I would suggest to you that we need to develop a love that
lasts. There are some simple things that I want to share with
you, in fact, I'm almost apologetic in sharing with you the
simple, practical, common sense things that do not go deep down
into the human mind to discover some secret truth, but rather
some basics to making love that lasts a reality. In fact,
usually that's our problem, we complicate what God has made so
simple.
Man is very gifted at taking the simple things in life and
making them complex. Look at our freeways. If you want to go
from point "A" to point "B", but often to get downtown from here
you've got to take three different freeways. It doesn't make
sense, does it? We just know how to complicate things.
Today, I want to uncomplicate some of the ...
