You have heard of the ''Hall of Fame.'' Major league baseball has its ''Hall of Fame'' in Cooperstown, New York. The National Football League has their ''Hall of Fame'' in Canton, Ohio. The National Basketball Association has their ''Hall of Fame'' in Springfield, Massachusetts.

One day one of our own members, Dikembe Mutombo, will have his jersey retired and his name enshrined in the National Basketball Association's Hall of Fame.

So we are familiar with the Hall of Fame. But in Hebrews 11 we have what has been called the ''Hall of Faith.'' The word ''faith'' occurs 21 times in Hebrews 11. The expression ''through faith'' occurs 5 times. The expression ''by faith'' is used 13 times. It is the record of the overcoming, victorious faith of the heroes of the Old Testament.

These heroes had more than simple saving faith, but they had faith which resulted in sacrifice, faith which resulted in separation, and faith which resulted in service.

Now, what kind of faith do you have? Is it just faith enough for salvation? Is it faith enough to keep you out of hell and to take you to heaven when you die? It seems that the Bible would call that ''little'' faith.

Or has your faith grown and developed until it seeks to remove mountains, and until it trusts God for the supernatural. The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 had great faith, for they were not satisfied by just merely being saved. They were willing to pay any price for a victorious faith.

Now the question is this: How is this faith obtained? How may we receive a conquering, victorious faith which lifts us above all the circumstances of life? It is not a new faith, but a development of ''little'' faith until it becomes ''great'' faith. It is a development, a growing up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
