John 4:35, 1 Timothy 2:4, and 2 Peter 3:9
God has been speaking. Through much prayer and fasting, we believe that there has been a divine directive and we must move forward with what we believe the Lord is saying to the church. In prayer, the Lord gave me this:
We pray, we ask,
We prepare, we fast,
We see nothing with our eyes,
But I hear You say: ''See with new eyes,
Look out to the fields,
For they are ripe,
Go and reap the harvest,
For it is yours.''
The world is being prepared. Their lives are coming to a screeching halt. They are lost, devastated, depressed and ready to throw in the towel. Their hearts are crying out for more than what this life has to offer. There is more of a curiosity of life after death and eternity than ever before. We must reach them before it is too late.
After one of our leaders had going into the prison to minister, he said, ''we must reach them before they get in here.'' Another sweet teenager came and said her friend had taken her own life. We must reach them before it's too late. It is our responsibility, not in our own strength but in the power of God's Spirit.
Jesus said, John 4:35 Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
It is God ''who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.'' (1 Timothy 2:4)
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
We must be more than a discipling church. We also must be a reaching church. I've used the analogy of me trying to strengthen my weaker arm - since I am righty, my left arm needs some work to get it to be as strong as my right arm. We must strengthen the muscle ...
