Ephesians 5:21-27
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
PROVERBS 30:18-23
There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a maiden. This is the way of an adulteress: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, 'I've done nothing wrong.' Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up: a servant who becomes king, a fool who is full of food, an unloved woman who is married, and a maidservant who displaces her mistress.
Today is a very important day in the life of our church for what I will share with this body will describe the direction and emphasis of our ministry together in the next months. Where should I start? I think at the beginning is the best. Over the last several years, our church staff has had a desire to really be a church that met people right where they are. In fact, our Saturday night worship came as a result of two discoveries.
Number One - the realization that we had no more room on Sunday morning because of parking and we had to do something different.
Number Two - was a survey that was taken last year to the lost or unchurched that revealed that 80 percent of those interviewed, that if they were ever going to go back to a church, it would be on a Saturday night i ...
